DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 — CHANDIGARH → SHIMLA / FAGU
Arrive in Chandigarh and meet the expedition team. After a brief orientation and introduction, begin the scenic drive towards Shimla/Fagu.
As the journey progresses, enjoy panoramic Himalayan views and gradually gain altitude. Upon arrival at Fagu/ Shimla, check in to the accommodation and relax.

DAY 2 — SHIMLA / FAGU → KALPA

After breakfast, begin the journey towards the spectacular Kinnaur Valley.

The route takes you through winding Himalayan roads, picturesque valleys, apple orchards and traditional Kinnauri villages. Enjoy scenic views of the Sutlej River and the surrounding mountains throughout the drive.
Arrive in Kalpa by evening and check in to the accommodation.

DAY 3 — KALPA → TABO
After breakfast, start the adventurous drive towards Tabo and enter the magnificent Spiti Valley.
As you travel deeper into the region, the landscape gradually transforms from the green valleys of Kinnaur into the stark and dramatic cold desert of Spiti.
Depending on weather and road conditions, you may witness frozen streams, snow-covered villages and spectacular Himalayan formations along the route.
Arrive in Tabo and check in to the accommodation.

DAY 4 — TABO → KAZA

After breakfast, continue towards Kaza, the main town and administrative centre of Spiti Valley.

The journey offers a remarkable transition into Spiti's winter landscape, with vast valleys, barren mountains and snow-covered terrain.
En route, explore selected attractions depending on road accessibility and weather conditions.
Arrive in Kaza by evening and check in to the accommodation.

DAY 5 — KAZA LOCAL EXPLORATION

Today is dedicated to exploring the unique culture, villages and winter landscapes around Kaza.

Places to explore, subject to road and weather conditions:

* Langza Village
* Komic Village
* Hikkim Village
* Local monasteries and scenic viewpoints

Experience the distinctive lifestyle and culture of Spiti while witnessing its dramatic winter landscape.
Return to Kaza by evening.

DAY 6 — KAZA → SANGLA

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive from the high-altitude cold desert of Spiti towards the beautiful Sangla Valley.
This is one of the most scenic and adventurous driving days of the expedition, with the landscape changing dramatically as you move from the rugged terrain of Spiti towards the greener valleys of Kinnaur.
Arrive in Sangla by evening and check in to the accommodation.

DAY 7 — SANGLA → CHITKUL → FAGU

After breakfast, drive towards Chitkul, one of the most scenic villages in Himachal Pradesh.

Surrounded by snow-covered peaks and the beautiful Baspa Valley, Chitkul offers an authentic Himalayan village experience. Spend some time exploring the village, subject to road and weather conditions.
Later, continue the journey towards Fagu.
Arrive in Fagu by evening and check in to the accommodation.

DAY 8 — FAGU → CHANDIGARH DROP

After breakfast, check out and begin the final drive towards Chandigarh.
Enjoy the last stretches of your Himalayan journey before reaching Chandigarh, where the Winter Spiti Expedition concludes.
