Vasota Fort is nestled deep within the forests of the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary in the Satara district of Maharashtra. This trek offers a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and serenity.

Your journey begins from the scenic base village of Bamnoli. From here, you’ll enjoy a peaceful boat ride across the stunning Koyna Backwaters, known for their crystal-clear blue waters and picturesque surroundings ideal for photography.

Before the trek, you’ll experience a memorable camping night under the stars, complete with a bonfire and group fun.

  • Trek Duration: ~2 hours (one way)

Itinerary


Day 1 (Saturday)

  • 10:30 PM – Pickup from Pune & overnight travel

  • 12:30 AM – Arrival at Aapati

  • Enjoy camping, bonfire, and overnight stay

Day 2 (Trek Day)

  • 6:30 AM – Wake-up call

  • 7:30 AM – Breakfast & proceed to boating point

  • Boat ride to Met Indavali

  • 11:00 AM – Reach Vasota base & begin trek

  • 1:00 PM – Reach fort top & explore

  • 2:00 PM – Packed lunch

  • 2:30 PM – Start descent

  • 5:00 PM – Reach Met Indavali & return boat ride to Bamnoli

  • 6:30 PM – Reach campsite at Aapati (tea & snacks)

  • 7:00 PM – Depart for Pune

  • 10:30 PM – Approx. arrival in Pune


Things to Carry
  • Backpack

  • Trekking shoes

  • LED torch/headlamp

  • 3–5 liters of water

  • Personal/basic medications

  • Poncho or rain jacket

  • Extra clothes

  • Toiletries

  • Bedding (blanket/sleeping bag)

  • Dry snacks (biscuits, fruits, etc.)

NOTE: Activity Package Charges + Additional 18% GST will be charged
