Rohida Fort, also known as Vichitragad, is a historic hill fort located in the Sahyadri mountain range near Bhor, about 65–70 km southwest of Pune. Sitting at an elevation of approximately 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) above sea level, it is a popular destination for history enthusiasts and beginner trekkers alike. Rohida Fort dates back to the Yadava dynasty (around the 12th–13th centuries), though the fort underwent significant development under later rulers. Due to its strategic location overlooking the trade routes connecting the Deccan plateau with the Konkan region, it changed hands several times throughout history.

Trek Itinerary  

5:30 AM – Depart from Pune

• Start early to avoid traffic and the midday heat.

• Distance: ~65–70 km

• Travel time: 2–2.5 hours

8:00 AM – Breakfast

Have breakfast at Bhor or carry your own packed meal, as options near the base village are limited.

8:45 AM – Reach Bajarwadi

• Park your vehicle in the village.

• Refill water bottles if needed.

• Meet locals if you need route guidance.

9:00 AM – Start the Trek

• Trek distance (one way): ~2.5 km

• Duration: 1–1.5 hours

• Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

• The trail is well-defined with gradual climbs and a few rocky patches.

10:30 AM – Explore Rohida Fort

Spend 1.5–2 hours exploring:

• Main entrance gates

• Ancient fortifications

• Bastions

• Water cisterns

• Temple dedicated to Rohideshwar

• Panoramic views of nearby forts and the Sahyadri ranges

On a clear day, you may spot:

• Rajgad Fort

• Torna Fort

• Kenjalgad Fort

12:30 PM – Begin Descent

The descent usually takes about an hour.

1:30 PM – Lunch

Have lunch in Bhor or enjoy a packed picnic.

Optional Evening Stop

6:00–6:30 PM – Return to Pune

4. Avoid expensive ornaments and accessories if lost management will not be responsible.

• Cancellation 20 days or more before the event: No deduction. 100% refund will be provided.

• Cancellation between 20 to 15 days before the event: 15% deduction from the total amount.

• Cancellation between 15 to 10 days before the event: 30% deduction from the total amount.

• Cancellation between 10 to 7 days before the event: 50% deduction from the total amount.

• Cancellation between 7 to 4 days before the event: 75% deduction from the total amount.

• Cancellation less than 4 days before the event: No refund (100% deduction).

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within the stipulated time frame as per company policy.

• In case if event is cancel by company, participants may choose to transfer their registration to the next scheduled weekend event. Once the registration has been transferred to the subsequent event, the amount already paid shall be non-refundable.
