Duke’s Nose is a famous cliff located in Khandala. The cliff gets its name because it resembles the nose of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington. Locally, it is also known as Naagphani, which means “Cobra’s Hood.”
This spot is one of the most popular trekking destinations near Lonavala and is easily visible from the highway while traveling toward Mumbai. The location offers stunning valley views, making it perfect for photography and adventure activities.
The Duke’s Nose Trek begins from Kurvanda village and is well known for activities like rappelling and valley crossing.

Itinerary
07:00 AM – Reach base village and enjoy breakfast
07:30 AM – Freshen up and start trek towards the activity setup point at Duke’s Nose
09:30 AM – Rappelling activity begins
01:00 PM – Return to base village and lunch will be served
After lunch, participants can proceed back to their respective destinations.
